Committees, Boards, & Commissions

The City of Oakridge currently has vacant positions on the following Committees and Commissions (as of 4/8/2024): 

Public Safety Committee 1 vacant seat

Rural Tourism Marketing Program & TRT Committee - 1 vacant seat

WAC Subcommittee – unlimited vacant seats

Charter Review Committee – unlimited vacant seats

These volunteer positions are vital to the successful operation of our city and is a great way for citizens to have direct involvement in city government.  All positions are open until filled.  If you are interested in serving our community, please submit application(s), which are available at City Hall (48318 E. 1st Street) or on the City’s website: www.ci.oakridge.or.us/community/page/volunteer

The Administration Advisory Committee consists of the City Administrator, a City Councilor, and six citizens.  Meetings are every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6pm at Oakridge City Hall or live on Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3664311610 

 

 

 

The Audit Committee was created to ensure the city's annual audit is completed in a timely and constructive manner.  The Committee consists of three voting members; the Mayor, a City Councilor, and a Citizen Budget Committee Member, and one non-voting member, the city Finance Director.  The Committee meets with the Auditors each fall, and as needed during the year.

The Budget Committee consists of the entire city council, up to an equal number of citizen representatives, the City Administrator, Finance Director, and all department heads.

The Parks & Community Development Advisory Committee meets every 2nd Monday of the month at 5:30pm at Oakridge City Hall (48318 E. 1st Street) or on Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3664311610

The Planning Commission is responsible for updating the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance, advise on City Projects, and reviewing certain types of permit requests.  Meetings are every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7pm at Oakridge City Hall (48318 E. 1st Street) or on Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3664311610 

The Public Safety Advisory Committee consists of 6 citizens, three who must live within Oakridge city limits.  Non-voting liaison members may include designated representatives from the Police Department, Fire Department, Hazeldell Rural Fire Protection District, City of Westfir, and Oakridge School District. The Oakridge Economic Development Advisory Committee (OEDAC) promotes, recruits, and supports businesses and economic development in Oakridge.  The OEDAC meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 5pm at Oakridge City Hall or live on Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3664311610 

The RTMP/TRT Committee meets to review RTMP and TRT funding request applications for tourism related events.  They meet every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7pm at Oakridge City Hall (48318 E. 1st Street) or on Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3664311610
